Resident Perceptions of 2-Year Versus 3-Year Cardiothoracic Training Programs

Graduating cardiothoracic surgery residents from 2-year (2Y) and 3-year (3Y) programs had similar perceptions regarding board preparation and debt. However, 3Y residents felt better prepared for practice and had higher pass rates on examinations.
