Leptin gene tetranucleotide repeat polymorphism in obese individuals in Egypt

The tetranucleotide repeat (TTTC)n polymorphism in the leptin gene is linked to obesity in Egyptians. Obese individuals, particularly those with simple obesity, showed a higher carriage rate of class II alleles compared to controls.
