Summary

Superficial inferior epigastric artery (SIEA) flaps for breast reconstruction led to significantly more arterial complications and failures compared to deep inferior epigastric artery perforator (DIEP) flaps. These findings indicate SIEA flaps are less reliable for this procedure.
