Summary

Severe headaches in an 81-year-old male were linked to osteonecrotic skull lesions. The case report discusses differentiating these from malignancy, Paget's disease, and steroid-induced avascular necrosis.

Background:

Osteonecrotic lesions in the frontotemporal skull can cause severe headaches.
Initial suspicion of metastatic lesions is common in such cases.
