Association between interleukin-27 polymorphisms and pulmonary tuberculosis

The -964 A/A genotype of interleukin 27 (IL-27) may protect against the spread of pulmonary tuberculosis (PTB). Higher IL-27 serum levels were observed in patients with this genotype and single-lobe involvement.
