    Summary

    Complications from infant circumcision using Gomco clamps or Plastibell devices were evaluated. Bleeding was more frequent with Gomco clamps, but overall complication rates were similar and comparable to inpatient procedures.

    Background:

    • Infant circumcision is a common procedure with varying complication rates.
    • Ambulatory settings are increasingly used for pediatric surgical procedures.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To compare the complication frequency of Gomco clamp versus Plastibell device for infant circumcision in an ambulatory setting.
