Hepatocellular carcinoma may display elevated nestin expression in endothelial cells: experimental study

Nestin staining revealed unexpected liver sinusoid-like structures in endothelial cells of hepatocellular carcinoma. This suggests nestin-positive endothelial cells may indicate sites of immature or proliferative cells and highlight angiogenesis in this cancer.
