Abstract:
Anger is not always, and does not always have to be, negative; however, anger in the workplace is often an obstacle to efficiency and negatively affects the work environment. Anger can force the manager to deal with irritants that have been avoided and can result in constructive change. Aside from impairing logical thinking, anger negatively affects problem solving by creating emotional barriers between individuals. Appropriate intervention into anger can enhance not only the manager's personal feelings of well-being but also the health of the organization.
