[Personal experience with the diagnosis and treatment of aneurysmal bone cysts]

Abstract:
Nine cases of aneurysmal bone cysts were diagnosed and treated at the Department of Orthopedics in Hradec Králové in the period of 1975 to 1986. Diagnosis was based on clinical examination, radiography and histological picture. Therapy included in two thirds of cases excochleation with the following stabilization of the involved bone, resections were carried out in remaining patients. One relapse occurred after excochleation with the character of a giant-cell tumour which evidenced a close relation to this disease.
