Summary
Glucose transporter 1 (GLUT-1) is overexpressed in common skin cancers, basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). GLUT-1 expression is significantly higher in SCC and linked to tumor grade and differentiation.
