Gnathic and peripheral ameloblastomas lack human papillomavirus DNA

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is not a significant factor in ameloblastoma development. This study found no high-risk HPV DNA and minimal low-risk HPV DNA in head and neck ameloblastomas, suggesting it does not cause these tumors.
