Background:

Hindfoot deformity management often requires calcaneal realignment.
Various posterior calcaneal osteotomy techniques exist.

Observation:

A novel percutaneous posterior calcaneal osteotomy technique is presented.
This technique allows for either a Dwyer-type closing wedge osteotomy or a displacement osteotomy.

Findings:

The described percutaneous technique provides a versatile method for posterior calcaneal osteotomy.
It can be adapted for different osteotomy types, including closing wedge and displacement.

Implications:

This minimally invasive approach may offer advantages in treating hindfoot deformities.
Percutaneous techniques could potentially reduce surgical morbidity and improve patient recovery.
