  • Randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, 3-way crossover study in 30 healthy adults (18-40 years).
  • Utilized a novel data-gathering task and the Bias Against Disconfirmatory Evidence (BADE) task.

Main Results:

  • Dopaminergic modulation did not significantly affect the amount of evidence gathered.
  • Disconfirmatory evidence integration showed a significant linear dopaminergic modulation (haloperidol > placebo > L-dopa).

  • Findings support a dual-disturbance model of delusions and suggest potential adjunctive treatments targeting reasoning biases.
