Benign prostatic enlargement is not associated with diabetes: a population-based study.

Conclusions:
- The study concludes that a prior diagnosis of diabetes is not significantly associated with benign prostatic enlargement (BPE) when sociodemographic characteristics and common comorbidities are considered.
- Comorbidities such as hypertension, coronary heart disease, and hyperlipidemia demonstrated significant associations with BPE, highlighting their importance in the condition's multifactorial nature.
