A Structured Rehabilitation Protocol for Improved Multifunctional Prosthetic Control: A Case Study

This study introduces a new model for neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) that accounts for pulse modulation, improving rehabilitation for upper motor neuron lesions (UMNL). Findings show that higher control gains are needed with lower pulse frequencies to maintain NMES system stability and reduce muscle fatigue.
