[Improvement of surgical care in varices]

The article discusses the in- and out-patient modalities of maintenance of health of patients with uncomplicated varicosity of the lower limbs in rural areas. The authors point to the advantage of this modality of treatment and formulate the recommendations for carrying out measures which ensure successful treatment of this category of patients. The criteria of effective treatment are a shorter period of in-patient treatment due to preoperative out-patient examination and postoperative out-patient treatment, the absence of recurrences of the disease, and the patient's return to occupational activity.
