Indirect immunofluorescence (IF) and bright-field immunohistochemistry (BFI) show comparable diagnostic efficiency for intraepidermal nerve fiber density (IENFD) in small fiber neuropathy (SFN) diagnosis. Both methods provide reliable results for IENFD quantification.
