Different depression scales yield varying results in prostate cancer patients. The Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) appears more sensitive than the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS-D) and Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS) for detecting depression severity.
