Summary

This article describes a quality improvement project aimed at standardizing the handling of surgical specimens in a community hospital. The project involved creating new procedures for labeling and handling specimens, as well as introducing educational meetings and a debriefing tool. The goal was to ensure consistent practices across different surgical specialties and to assist both novice and experienced staff.
