Left medial orbitofrontal cortex volume correlates with skydive-elicited euphoric experience

The volume of the left medial orbitofrontal cortex (mOFC) predicts the intensity of euphoria. Larger mOFC volume correlated with greater self-reported joy during a first-time skydive, suggesting a structural basis for extreme positive affect.
