  • Forty observers' visual scanpaths were recorded while viewing facial profiles with and without nasal deformities.
  • Photographs of 20 patients with and without computer-morphed corrected noses were used.
  • Visual fixation durations and personality trait perceptions were analyzed.

  • Nasal deformities captured significantly more visual attention (mean relative fixation duration 17.3% vs. 10.6%).
  • Faces with nasal deformities received lower cumulative personality scores and satisfaction ratings.
