[Therapeutic use of plasmapheresis in a patient with bullous pemphigoid]

Treatment by exchange plasmapheresis has resulted in a considerable and rapid improvement of the skin status in a patient suffering from bullous pemphigoid. Apart from plasma exchange, treatment with azathioprine and steroids has proved to be effective. Neither significant side effects nor infectious complications have been observed.
