Nest Predation Deviates from Nest Predator Abundance in an Ecologically Trapped Bird

Birds may choose habitats that seem good but are actually dangerous. This study shows that for the Lanius collurio, lower nest concealment in preferred forest habitats leads to higher nest predation, creating an ecological trap.
