Abstract:
The medical-legal considerations associated with postdate pregnancies are not unlike those associated with the management of an uncomplicated pregnancy. The primary difference is, however, that these pregnancies are at a greater risk of perinatal morbidity and mortality. Therefore, it is important to maintain one's knowledge, understanding, and skills to safely manage these pregnancies and, by so doing, reduce one's medical-legal liability.
