Pneumatization Pattern in Squamousal Type of Chronic Otitis Media

Chronic otitis media (COM) of the squamousal type is strongly linked to non-pneumatized mastoid bones. Healthy ears show significantly better mastoid bone pneumatization, supporting environmental factors in COM development.
