Abstract:
This review will emphasize the initial evaluation and acute treatment of patients with wide complex tachycardias. The evaluation of patients presenting with wide (greater than 120 msec in duration) QRS tachycardias can be an extremely challenging problem. Diagnosing the correct mechanism of the tachycardia is necessary to properly prescribe acute and long-term therapy.
