Summary

Bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) immunoglobulin levels correlate with lung function impairment in pulmonary sarcoidosis. Higher BAL IgG and IgA suggest greater disease severity, but these markers improve with steroid treatment, indicating reversible gas exchange issues.
