Summary

Hydatid cyst disease rarely affects the spleen. This study evaluated 17 splenic hydatid cyst cases, finding splenectomy common but highlighting potential spleen-preserving options and albendazole use.

  • To assess postoperative hospital stay and patient outcomes.

  • Retrospective analysis of 17 patients with splenic hydatid cysts over 12 years.
