Brief Report: Second-Order Cluster Analysis of Personal Orientation Inventory Items in a Prison Sample
Abstract:
The responses of 500 male prisoners to the 150 items of the Personal Orientation Inventory were clustered, using hierarchical linkage analysis. Six second-order clusters accounted for all the items. K-R 20 reliabilities of these clusters were comparable to those of the first-order clusters. The relative validity of cluster scores and scale scores remains to be determined.
