[Physical therapy treatment of pain]

Pain control is one of the primary goals of physiotherapeutical methods. Unfortunately, the true mode of pain relief by most of the applied physical methods remains hypothetical. Based on a problem orientated proceeding, decisive factors for the prescription of physical methods shall be presented. Emphasis has been placed on the practicability, safety and economical aspects of prescribed methods.
