Summary

Pseudobulbar affect (PBA), characterized by inappropriate laughter, is a levodopa OFF phenomenon in Parkinson's disease (PD). Subthalamic nucleus deep brain stimulation (STN-DBS) exacerbated this PBA, which was improved by levodopa.
