Abstract:
The present paper reports on experience with a new contact lens which enables monophilic fixation sutures of the scleral flap to be severed transconjunctivally using highly focussed argon laser beams. The procedure is used in the early postoperative period on patients with failing filtering blebs. Indications and the procedures itself are described in detail.
