Background:

Relapse following orthodontic treatment often necessitates re-treatment with fixed appliances.
Fixed mechanotherapy for relapse is time-consuming and psychologically burdensome for patients.

Observation:

An extruded maxillary incisor and a diastema were observed.
The patient found re-treatment with fixed mechanotherapy psychologically unacceptable.

Findings:

A simple removable appliance was developed to intrude an extruded maxillary incisor.
This appliance achieved simultaneous closure of a diastema effectively and rapidly.

Implications:

This removable appliance offers a viable alternative to fixed mechanotherapy for relapse.
It reduces treatment time and improves patient compliance and psychological well-being.
