Tissue damage volume predicts organ dysfunction and inflammation after injury

A new Tissue Damage Volume (TDV) score can predict multiple-organ failure (MOF) and systemic inflammation response syndrome (SIRS) in multiply injured patients (MIPs). Higher TDV scores indicate a greater risk for these severe complications.
