Simultaneous Bilateral Endoscopic Manipulation for Bilateral Renal Stones

• A 46-year-old male with asymptomatic bilateral renal stones underwent simultaneous bilateral percutaneous nephrolithotomy (right) and flexible ureteroscopy (left).
• The patient had a single left kidney stone (16 mm) and two right renal stones (21 mm and 19 mm).

Findings:

• The combined procedure took 80 minutes with no intra- or postoperative complications.
• The patient achieved a stone-free status within two weeks, with stable renal function and early discharge.

Implications:

• Simultaneous bilateral endoscopic stone manipulation is a viable and safe option for selected patients.
• This technique, performed by experienced surgeons in high-volume centers, can effectively manage bilateral renal calculi.
