Abstract:
I read with interest James Buchan's article 'Uncertainty on career prospects' (Clinical, March 11). As an enrolled nurse (general and psychiatric), it is depressing to be in a professional cul-de-sac with little prospect of furthering my career. I have struggled for some time to gain a place on a conversion course, but have found it particularly difficult because I work outside the National Health Service.
