We developed a new assay to measure N-acyl-phosphatidylethanolamine (NAPE)-hydrolyzing phospholipase D (NAPE-PLD) activity. This method uses radioactive substrates and thin-layer chromatography for accurate analysis of fatty acid amide biosynthesis.
