Robotic surgery education in gynecologic oncology has evolved significantly over the past decade. While a standardized curriculum is still developing, current fellowship programs offer structured training, enhancing surgical proficiency.

Background:

Robotic surgery has transformed minimally invasive surgery (MIS) in gynecologic oncology over the last 10 years.
Increased use of robotic surgery has spurred interest in specialized training for gynecologic oncology fellows.

Purpose of the Study:

To review and summarize the current state of robotic surgical education within Gynecologic Oncology fellowship programs.

Main Methods:

A comprehensive search of electronic databases was conducted to identify studies on robotic surgical education in gynecologic oncology.
Emphasis was placed on articles detailing educational curricula, which were then compared and summarized.

Main Results:

The earliest robotic surgery curricula in gynecologic oncology appeared in 2008, initially relying on animal models and cadavers.
