Older people top health agenda, says milburn

The care of older people remains a top priority for the government, health secretary Alan Milburn told RCN Congress, along with heart disease, cancer and mental health. He told delegates resources and capacity would be expanded and said hospitals and social services would be rewarded for demonstrating better health outcomes, shorter waiting times and improved standards.
