Summary

Peak oxygen uptake (V[Combining Dot Above]O2peak) and heart rate responses during maximal graded exercise tests (GXTs) are similar on nonmotorized treadmills (NMTs) and motorized treadmills (MTs). However, submaximal data differ, impacting exercise prescription accuracy.
