  • Studied 25 adolescents with MDD (no comorbidities, pre-pharmacotherapy) and 25 age/gender-matched healthy controls.
  • Recorded electrodermal activity (EDA) during 5 minutes of supine rest.
  • Averaged EDA values (μS) per minute for comparison.

  • Adolescents with MDD exhibited significantly lower electrodermal activity across all recording minutes compared to controls.
  • Findings demonstrate electrodermal hypoactivity in adolescent MDD patients.
