Relationship Between Lung Cancer and Mycobacterium Avium Complex Isolated Using Bronchoscopy

Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC) positive cultures in bronchial washings are linked to lung cancer. This association was more common in older women, but lung cancer specifics did not influence MAC infection.
