A heuristic is a general problem-solving framework (Tversky & Kahneman, 1974). You can think of these as mental shortcuts that are used to solve problems. The French drug reaction assessment method was updated by the Cercle de réflexion sur l'imputabilité (CRI) to improve adverse drug reaction causality assessment. Enhancements include refined criteria and new scales for more relevant drug-reaction relationship evaluations.
