Abstract:
Spectral analysis of mechanocardiograms (MCG) has been performed, using the method of fast Fourier analysis, in patients with acute respiratory failure (ARF) of various etiology. Two time intervals of the cardiac cycle have been investigated: 160 ms after the R wave on the ECG (interval A) and 160 ms after the T wave (interval B). It has been shown that patients with ARF reveal the appearance of high-frequency oscillations (31-32 and 37-38 Hz) in interval A and low-frequency oscillations (7-8 Hz) in interval B. It is assumed that one of the reasons for MCG spectrum alterations may be cardiohemodynamic resetting, as well as changes in the myocardial function and pulmonary hypertension.
