Abstract:
As the demand for implant restorative therapy increases worldwide, peri-implantitis is considered to be a major challenge for clinicians. Peri-implant diseases are inflammatory in nature and might be limited to the soft tissue, peri-implant mucositis, or extend to the supporting alveolar bone that is called peri-implantitis.(1).

Bacterial Signaling
42.8K
Bacterial signaling can occur within bacteria (intracellular) or between bacteria (intercellular). At times, a group of bacteria behaves like a community. To achieve this, they engage in quorum sensing, the perception of higher cell density that causes changes in gene expression. Quorum sensing involves both extracellular and intracellular signaling. The signaling cascade starts with a molecule called an autoinducer (AI). Individual bacteria produce AIs that move out of the bacterial cell...

Tissue Transplantation
1.2K
Tissue transplantation is a significant medical procedure involving the transfer of cells, tissues, or organs from a donor to a recipient, with the primary aim of restoring lost functions. This procedure is crucial in treating a broad spectrum of diseases, including kidney diseases, liver failure, heart disease, and certain types of cancers.
