[Waste management--a necessity for environmental health]

There can be no doubt about the necessity of waste management. Principles thereby are: Avoidance of waste, prevention of problematic substances, reduction of waste, utilization of waste and disposal of waste. As soon as we are in the position to put these principles into practice, is waste no longer a threatening problem for us and our environment.
