Should vitamin D deficiency be corrected before parathyroidectomy?

Vitamin D deficiency does not necessitate delaying parathyroid surgery. Patients with vitamin D deficiency have similar surgical outcomes and lower risks of hypocalcemia after parathyroidectomy compared to those with normal levels.
