Interactions between amplitude modulation and frequency modulation processing: Effects of age and hearing loss.

This study investigated how age and hearing loss affect the detection of amplitude modulation (AM) and frequency modulation (FM). Results show that while AM detection is robust, FM detection is impaired by aging and hearing loss, especially when both modulations are present.
