[TORSION OF FALLOPIAN TUBE LEIOMYOMA TREATED BY LAPAROSCOPY]

Background:

Observation:

• A 34-year-old woman presented with acute lower abdominal pain.
• Transvaginal ultrasound identified a 7 cm extrauterine mass, with normal ovaries.
• Preoperative diagnosis suggested torsion of the fallopian tube secondary to an intratubal leiomyoma.

Findings:

• Laparoscopic surgery confirmed a leiomyoma originating from the right Fallopian tube isthmus.
• Laparoscopic myomectomy was successfully performed, preserving tubal structures.
• Histological examination revealed a leiomyoma with ischemic changes.

Implications:

• This case highlights the successful laparoscopic management of a torsed tubal leiomyoma.
• Early diagnosis and surgical intervention can lead to favorable outcomes.
• Further research into the etiology and optimal management of tubal leiomyomas is warranted.
