Summary

The study found that chitosan multifilament yarn and 13-channel chitosan sponge conduits effectively promoted nerve regeneration in rats, showing minimal inflammation and autotomy. These findings highlight the importance of chitosan type in nerve guidance conduit design for successful sciatic nerve repair.
